The beginnings

The entity that became Exeter District Ambulance began as "Exeter Memorial Hospital" on May23, 1977. A short while later, it was renamed "Exeter Hospital District Ambulance", under which we operated a single ambulance unit. On December 18, 1995 we officially became "Exeter District Ambulance". We gradually grew to run up to 4 full time ambulance units at one point.
