RIDE ALONG

When a non-employee of Exeter District Ambulance would like to ride-along on an EDA ambulance, for a recertification, or for personal interest, a written request must be submitted to the Governing Board for approval. This request will include the reasons for the ride-along and the duration needed for the ride-along.

EMT 1s needing ambulance time for their certification will, as a general rule, not be allowed to ride-along, and it is recommended that these persons seek an ambulance company with a higher call volume.

All ride-along requests must be processed through the office during normal business hours. All riders must sign a liability waiver form and wear appropriate attire (see below).

The rider may only ride with the unit that arrangements are made for. The rider must wear the EMT OBSERVER badge at all times.
